A Convenient Shade

A convenient shade,
E'en a shell could do,
A companion made,
While fair eyes pursue.

Sip the sweet,
Heart of honey and manna dew,
A soul deplete,
But the fair made anew.

Baiting, baiting,
Abruptly ends,
A broken heart,
Left to mend.

Left alone,
While fair hand-in-hand,
Comfort companion,
Nothing more than a broken man.
